A few steps from our apartments you reach one of the most renowned streets of Vienna - the Mariahilfer Strasse, which combines many attributes so characteristic for Vienna’s historical past and present at the same time:
Mariahilfer Strasse connects two of the main imperial residences of the Habsburg monarchy. The Hofburg in the city center (winter residency) and Schönbrunn in the district of Hiezing (summer residency). Furthermore, both ends of the Mariahilfer Strasse are marked with large museum buildings. At the outer end the technical museum (and the Auer-Werlsbach Park) is located, which was the last monumental building of the Habsburg monarchy. The inner end part opens out into the "MuseumsQuartier".
Of course, we should also mention Mariahilfer Strasse and its surroundings as the biggest and famous shopping areas Vienna's.
